Adam Aberman
CEO & Founder
Adam is the Founder and CEO of SchoolQualityReview.ai. This is Adam's third venture, having founded The Learning Collective in 2023 and icouldbe.org in 2000. Adam has a 25+ year track record in numerous educational venues from traditional public schools to school district trainings. Adam has conducted over 300 in-person school quality reviews of schools in California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York and Washington. Overall, Adam has conducted over 2,500 classroom observations.
Adam is also the founder, former acting board member and now board member emeritus of www.icouldbe.org, the non-profit Internet-based career mentoring program that has served over 25,000 students, and hundreds of schools, nationally since 2000. Adam began his career in education as a Spanish bilingual public school teacher in Los Angeles.
Adam earned a B.A. from Vassar College and Master in Public Policy, with an emphasis on Education, from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Adam enjoys hanging out with his family, long walks with his dogs and rooting for the Lakers.
Joshua Cook
CTO & Co-Founder
Joshua Cook is the CTO and Co-Founder of SchoolQualityReview.ai. Joshua Cook has a multi-faceted background – he is an AI and machine learning engineer, a data scientist, a software engineer, and a former educator. He has worked as an AI and ML Engineer at Nashville Biosciences, Edmentum, Hypergiant Industries, and Databricks. He is currently working as CEO at Chelle AI, utilizing his education and AI experience to transform how companies onboard employees.
After graduating UC Berkeley undergrad, he started his career as a high school teacher in underserved communities. He earned his Masters in Educational Leadership from UCLA from the Principal Leadership Institute in the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies where he then acted as lecturer. He then earned a second bachelor's degree, a BS in Applied Math from Cal State Northridge. While at CSUN, he was the recipient of the National Science Foundation Partnership for Research and Education in Materials grant.
After graduating, he worked in software engineering while teaching data science at UCLA and General Assembly. He learned enterprise big data and data science at AI giant Databricks. An early adopter of AI practices in his work, he moved into AI and machine learning engineering roles in EdTech and health data. His previous career in education informs his AI work – in understanding how humans learn he can best design and train models.
When not working on AI, Joshua plays guitar and piano, sings, and makes electronic music. He also loves spending time with his wife, four-year-old daughter, and chihuahua.
